Spiritual Recovery Connection

Our Mission is to help people obtain and sustain a path in recovery through connection with self, an undersanding of a positive power greater than self and connection with others while practicing SPIRITUAL Principles. We have designed a recovery house per the state standards that focuses on recovery to take the next step back into life.

90 Day Recovery house Program

Intake

Interview process consists of explaining the how the house functions to evaluate if the individual will be a good fit for our recovery house program. This will let us know where they are in their process and how we can assist in their recovery. What kind of understanding they have of recovery and where they think they are in their process? Most importantly how willing they are to start the path in recovery and most importantly are they willing to do what ever it takes not to repeat their past. After the initial application is completed, there case will be brought in front of the board for acceptance. The board consists of house manager, case management represenative, SRC represenatives and volunteers in recovery. The board consists of a 10 person panel and needs a vote of 7 or more for acceptance.

Case Managment

This process is a one on one consulation by a volunteering structure or individual. During this process we access if they have health insurance, snap benefits, work history, do they have identity documentaion, drivers license, court cases domestic/criminal, probation or parole, scheduling CRS evaluation, introducing to street to feet if there is any benefits that can be used, using Red Co for mental health. This is designed so we as a supportive recovery environment can work on these things for our recovery resident while they focus on our recovery program. They will be updated on progress every 2 weeks or as a pressing matter presents itself. This is designed to assist in the process of peace of mind.

Oversight

The recovery house its self is managed by SRC board members. This consists of structural maintance, building expenses, acquiring funding for individuals for their 90 day stay, insurance, keeping financial records and resident records for 7 years.

House Manager

Lives on premises to insure house rules are being met, residents are keeping records in logging system that they are fulfilling programming requirements, random substance screens when needed, individual house responsibilities are being completed, insuring a clean envirnment and acting as the conduit between residents and volunteers. Insuring residents make mandatory house meetings.

Volunteers

This is probably one of the most important parts of our recovery structure. The concept behind this is using individuals in AA and NA for now that have found a path in recovery by taking the suggestions. This is where we share our existing support network with residents so they can hit the ground running. A volunteer may meet 3 guys at their home group, possibly pick them up to go, have coffee after but most importantly introduce them to another seasoned member in the fellowship. Our volunteers go through an orientation class to know the does and donts while assisting our residents per our volunteers policey and procedures document. We will also have volunteers come to the house to share their experience strength and hope or how it was, how it changed and how it is now. The main premice is to implement Hope and an understanding we don’t do this alone.

Programming

The first 4 weeks is an introduction to the fellowships while introducing them to members in recovery through our volunteer program. Weekly house meetings explaining how the AA and NA programs work, verbage used in each and formulating a schedule meeting schedule for the individual to follow. After the first 4 weeks they will be in a position to pick a fellowship and start working with a sponsor after we helped them establish a support network in conjunction with our volunteer program. after the second month we will be positioning resident for employment and stepping down to the next living situation with employment. This may be another recovery house with more freedom or their own residence depending on the individual.
